X-ist
This issue is a collective reflection on X-ist, a collaborative art project on how nature and advanced technologies record the perils of crossing Europe’s external borders. In dialogue with the art works, four scholars engage with the intricacies of borders and what life borders give rise to or deny. X-ist invites readers, however fleetingly, to embark on a journey that some may never experience, yet the horrors of which are as real as it gets for many in the world.
