PAC-UF treatment for micropollutant removal in municipal wastewater treatment
Objective: reducing emission of micropollutants (MPs) into the aquatic environment. Approach: hybride ultrafiltration and powdered activated carbon dosage (PAC-UF) for advanced tertiary treatment in waste water treatment plants (WWTP). Labscale investigations already revealed the importance of PAC characteristics and beneficial adjustment of dosing parameters. Pilot study further shows that upscaling the process is quite challenging.
