It is the aim of this thesis to point out the importance of internal human capital formation in the German, US-American and Japanese automobile industry as a strategic competitive factor, not least due to the increasing automation of the manufacturing process and the use of new production technologies respectively. The results give important information for the organization of a company's internal human capital formation in its function as a strategic competitive factor.
