Network Theory and Input-Output Modeling
This course offers a practical introduction to Network Theory and its application in Input-Output Modeling. It is designed for students, researchers, and anyone interested in heterodox economic modeling. The course is divided into four modules. Module 1 offers an introduction to basic linear algebra, Module 2 covers the fundamentals of graph theory and network representation, Module 3 focuses on graph analysis using key metrics like centrality and resilience, and Module 4 applies these concepts to economic input-output analysis.
The course was developed by Dr. Jan David Weber with support from Caspar Löffler-Patterson and is a project of the Institute for Socioeconomics at the University of Duisburg-Essen (UDE).
